Tool steel
Our tool steel is used for the production of tools, molds and standard parts, for example in the areas of aluminum die casting or plastic injection molding.
Scrap is melted in an electric arc furnace to produce our tool steel. The cast ingot is forged on either a 60 MN or 27 MN open-die forging press, with prior refinement in the ESR plant if required. Special heat treatment and mechanical surface treatment are available according to customer requirements.
